CORTLAND – Paul Trevelline, 89, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at his residence.
Paul was born June 11, 1923, in Boyers, Pa., the son of Louie and Amelia Trevelline.
He was a 1943 graduate of Grove City High School and came to Warren in 1946. Paul retired in 1988 as the owner and operator of the Hot Dog Shoppe on West Market Street. He also was the co-founder of the Hot Dog Shoppe, which opened in 1946.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Warren and St. Robert Church in Cortland.
Paul enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Trevelline; a son, Mark Trevelline of Cortland; and three brothers, Joseph (Loretta) Trevelline of Bellview, Ill., Francis Trevelline of Rochester, N.Y., and Raymond (Kathy) Trevelline of Girard.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Victor Trevelline; and two sisters, Ellen Doverspike and Teresa LaCava.
Family and friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Church in Warren with the Rev. Bernard Schmalzried officiating and the Rev. Carl Kish concelebrating.
Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Cortland.
