Warren woman remains in jail after shooting

WARREN An Oriole Street woman accused of shooting at a man last week remained at the Trumbull County Jail on Monday in lieu of $75,000 bond.

Vitta Davis, 47, of 228 Oriole St. S.W., is charged with three counts of felonious assault and carrying a concealed weapon. She is scheduled to appear at a preliminary hearing at 1:30 p.m. April 30.

She is accused of shooting at Elroy Davis, 55, of 250 Tod Ave. N.W., Warren, around 4 p.m. Elroy Davis told police he was being shot at while driving in the area of Highland Avenue and Second Street, according to a police report.

Police said they arrested Vitta Davis after they located her in the area of Maple Street S.W. and George Place S.W. She told police she had a gun in her shirt, the police report stated. Police reported they also found a crack pipe on her before transporting her to the Trumbull County Jail.

The police report indicated there were also two female juvenile victims, ages 17 and 15; however, the relationships among the individuals involved were not clear. No injuries were reported.
