Wed., 11:19am: Liberty student in custody after bomb threat
LIBERTY — A Liberty High School student was taken into custody on Wednesday in connection with a written bomb threat found Tuesday on a restroom wall.
The threat stated a bomb would detonate today. The school was evacuated around 10 a.m. as a precaution and police were on the scene.
Police said they were questioning Brandon Haun, 18, at his home around the same time.
Police said Haun admitted to writing the threat. Police took him to Trumbull Memorial Hospital for a mental evaluation, officials said.
He has not yet been charged, but police said he could face a felony inducing panic charge.
Police said they didn’t find anything when they searched the school.
