Mary A. Pinion 1928-2013

WARREN – Mary A. Pinion, 84, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013, at her home in Warren.

She was born Dec. 2, 1928, in Ravenna, to Maria Rumunni Favazzo and Joseph Ramunni.

Mary was a graduate of Ravenna High School and came to Warren in 1960. She retired from Cesta Golden Gate as a waitress after 20 years. Mary was an active member of St. Pius X Parish as well as the Ohio Star Quilters Guild.

Mary was an avid and gifted quilter, baker and cook who loved to employ her talents to create one-of-a-kind items for loved ones and friends. She also enjoyed spending her summers camping with family and friends.

Mary will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She is the beloved wife of William Pinion, whom she married Jan. 8, 1949; loving mother of Mary Lyn Pinion, Mark Pinion and daughter-in-law Lisa Pinion; the cherished grandmother of Daniel Boich, Michael Boich, Alison Pinion and Michelle Pinion; and devoted sister of Nellie (Joe) Polichena.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, John W. Pinion; and two sisters, Carmella Wiczen and Bessie Anthony.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish (St. James Church), 2532 Burton St. S.E., Warren, OH 44484, with the Rev. James Walker officiating. Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at St. James Church.

Burial will follow in All Souls Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by the Peter Rossi and Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Road N.E., Warren, OH 44483.
