Tue 10pm: UPDATE 2: Shooting victim identified shooting

YOUNGSTOWN — Police are searching for a man in connection with a shooting Tuesday night on the city’s North Side which killed one person and injured another.

Police are searching for Willie Wilks Jr., is wanted by police for murder and attempted murder. He is described as a black male about 5 foot 9, and may be armed with an assault weapon, police said.

Ororo Wilkins, 20, was shot to death on the porch at 725 North Park Ave. about 5 p.m. while visiting a family member. Wilkins was holding an infant child when the shooting occurred, police reports state. The child was not injured in the attack.

Alexander Morales, 24, attempted to flee into the home when he was shot and wounded, police said.

Youngstown police Capt. David McKnight said the shooting apparently revolved around an argument between one of the victims and the suspect.
