Amanda N. Knowlton and Daniel C. Gonzales were united in marriage during a wedding ceremony held on July 27, 2013, at Champion Presbyterian Church. Officiating the ceremony was the Rev. Marvin Barney.
A reception was held at Garden Brook in Cortland.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Cheryl Knowlton of Champion. Parents of the groom are Donald and Dawn Hollingsworth of Vermillion and Daniel Gonzales of Colorado.
Performing the duties of maid of honor for the bride was Victoria Duncan. Bridesmaid were Kaitlin Forister, Katy Booth and Kelsey Mayne. MacKenzie Hensel and Alexis Hofmeister served as flower girls.
Performing the duties of best man for the groom was Mike Sciolino. Groomsmen were Chris Pennington, Scott Mey and Cory Knowlton. Patrick Hensel served as ring bearer.
The new Mrs. Gonzales is a 2008 graduate of Champion of High School and a 2012 graduate of Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies. She is employed by Goodwill industries as a case manager in Northfield.
Mr. Gonzales is a 2006 graduate of Firelands High School and attended The University of Akron. He is serving in the Air Force Reserves as a senior airman and is employed by Independence Inc. as a residential support supervisor.
A honeymoon is planned for September to Las Vegas. The couple resides in Kent.
