EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM KICKS OFF: The OH WOW! Children’s Center for Science and Technology, 11 W. Federal St., Youngstown, will present its first adults-only WOW! After Hours program from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 21. The program is “Meet Your Maker!” with local toy maker, Court Strudwick. Plans are to implement quarterly WOW! After Hours events in 2014 for adults ages 21 and older with a variety of educational opportunities rooted in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Participants will receive a toy kit. YWCA OFFERS PROGRAM: YWCA Step UP Young Women of Excellence mentoring and leadership development program for ages 16 to 30 will hold an orientation Nov. 26 with the program beginning on Dec. 2. Applications are available 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. The program will offer GED classes / tutoring, self esteem building, job readiness, employment skills, college tours, career exploration and community projects. PROGRAM OFFERED: A free appointment only Medicare check-up event, “Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program” will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Youngstown Senior Center, 1110 Fifth Ave. The program is intended to help people review Medicare changes and determine coverage for 2014. CONCERT SET: The Stevens Family of Warren will host a concert at 7 p.m. Friday at the Cortland Trinity Baptist Church. The Tribute Quartet of Nashville will be the key performers. They received a “Horizon Group of the Year” award. There is an admission with a love offering accepted.

FARM MARKET: The Howland Farmers Market has been moved indoors from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. the third Saturday of each month at the Howland SCOPE Center. Various produce and other items will be sold from November to March.
