SHOWCASING THE CREATIVE ARTS: A Creative Arts Night will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Austintown Fitch High School. The event will include demonstrations of art and photography, drama, speech, clay and ceramics, cooking, and National Honor Society. There will also be a talent show and a concert by the group Northern Whale.

BLOCKWATCH SETS MEETING: Youngstown Mayor John McNally will be the speaker for the combined gathering of the CPR and Boulevard Park Blockwatch at 6:30 p.m. today at Lutheran Bethlehem Church, 165 E. Midlothian Blvd.

TREE RECYCLING TO CONCLUDE: Cortland city will hold a curbside collection of Christmas trees from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m through today with trees also accepted at the service department at Willow Park, 184 Willow Drive, Cortland, through Friday. Howland Township is holding curbside Christmas tree collection through Friday. Trees can also be brought from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. through Friday to the Howland Public Works department, 3600 N. River Road.

EVENT RESCHEDULED: The Stambaugh Youth Concert Band, which canceled its rehearsal last week due to weather will meet at 6 p.m. today at Stambaugh Auditorium.
